Three brand websites on one shared design system
Three service websites for different brands of one company, built on a shared design system with individual branding and German legal pages.
Starting point
The company operates several brands aimed at different audiences. Each brand needed its own credible web presence. Building three completely separate websites, however, would have tripled the effort for build and maintenance. All sites also had to meet German requirements for the legal notice and privacy policy.
Solution
We developed a shared design system that all three websites are built on. Colours, typefaces, imagery and tone are distinct for each brand, while components and page structure are shared. Each site explains the service clearly and guides visitors towards an enquiry. Legal notice and privacy policy are in place for every brand.
Implementation
We started with a component library covering sections for services, process, FAQ and contact. On top of that, we defined a separate colour and typography set for each brand. Copy and page structure were tailored to each target audience. Before launch, we tested every site on mobile, for load time and for working forms.
